Both are using a hand frame. This post should have been last instead of first.

Hey Mike, I know you have scrolled with one of those fretsaws before. It appears that the saw is held pretty much in one position while the work piece is turned. Is that right? I might have to find one of those saws and give it a try myself. Looks like fun.

      Hi Silver Sliver,

I started as a young man with a saw like that. You move the whole frame up and down and try to keep it level. You don't use blades with reverse teeth and no spiral blades. You move the wood.

Mike -- now that is the way to scrollsaw. I bet they are real good at it too. No fancy Dewalt, Delta P20, Hegner, or RBI for them. They can even scroll when there is a power outage. I couldn't do that.

Mike - I just now saw that you're in SD. When husband was in Air Force we had 3 assignments in ND, two 3 year stays in Minot and one 5 year stay in Grand Forks. We loved every minute in the "Northern Tier" ... even the cold ones. It's a great place to live.

About 26 years ago or a little more I made this Ladys Work Basket which I still have and use every day. I use it as a medicine box and I keep it on my kitchen counter. It is still in excellent condition and is made from close to 40 pieces of wood. The plans I got from "Cherry Tree" https:...

Yesterday was amazing to see someone ring the bell after beating cancer. When we left we walked to our cars and had our arms around each others shoulders. I told her this was the best party I have ever been to. I found this message on my phone this morning “I am such a blessed woman. I was so excited....
