Heart Coaster finished Monday, August 22, 2022. The pattern is by Charles Hand and found in the book "Circular Scroll Saw Designs". I enlarged the pattern so that it is a trivet or wall hanger. I used 3/4" Hard Maple about 8" x 8". Cut on the Pegas scroll saw using Pegas #1R MGT blades. I used #1R MGT blades to see how they would cut 3/4" Hard Maple. Very impressed. After sanding with a Mac Mop, dipped in diluted Shellac and lightly sanded again. Two coats of MinWax Lacquer clear gloss. Comments welcome.

Very pretty. What did you dilute the shellac with?

Thanks Betty. I dilute the Shellac with 50% denatured alcohol.

Very good cutting, especially considering #1 in 3/4" maple. Impressive.

Thanks Jim. It was a trial with the #1R MGT and I was impressed.
