  • Steve Good pattern

Made this small box Nativity scene probably 8 Months ago and entered it in our local Fair and bought home the Big Blue , then got an order for 8 more before Christmas. Here they are finished and ready for delivery, made from 7 separate layers of 1/8" BB Plywood and the top and back are 1/4" Walnut material . In making this Nativity you need to be as precise as possible in your cutting - if your not a lot more sanding will be involved . And the top will have to be Tweaked anyway . Any comments are welcomed ...

CONGRATS on your blue ribbon. I have made and sold 10 or these. They are fun. I agree you have to be careful cutting or there is a lot of sanding needed on the outside and also for the lid.

I did 6 from butternut and walnut. Getting the outside of thre rings to match generated a ton of sawdust.

I Charged $35.00 and since I went back too a partime job 4 hours a day 5 Days a week - I had a hard time getting the 8 Nativity boxes finished - had one ladie wanting more - so thought if I raised the price too $45.00 I wouldn't sell anymore . ( More work to these than people think especially when your cutting bunches of them ) Thanks for the nice comments - Well that price jump didn't work she wants more for next Christmas - well I'll make them - back fired on me 🙈🙊

I have found if I have something that isn't selling too well or is selling too well, I raise the price and they want more!! Go figure!!
