Black Walnut, local milled Live edge 7/8" thick no finish

Nice work. I really like items done on wood with a live edge. Are you planning on putting some sort of finish on the piece?

Where did you get the pattern? I really like that.

Meflick, leehljp, its a Susan Mey pattern, which calls for the image to be cut into an oval, but I have had this wonderful piece of Black Walnut, local milled for a number of years, have hesitated to use it, as didnt want to cut it, but when I placed the patter on it, wanted to keep the live edges. Back and forth on using a finish, the wood from lying about for 5+ years has a nice patina, just not sure.

Pete, you know I really like it from my comments on NCWW. Thanks for sharing.

Thx for the review, what size blade did you use for resawing, also I feel that is a good price considering it is a Kreg product, I like their stuff, I have a few of their products, RJ...

Quartz you are absolutely right about the need for a good blade and proper tuning of the saw. I thought the price was a lot cheaper than I expected. Only nine ornaments

Thanks Rolf. Hard to see, but the light wood is curly maple. Beautiful

Bruce bought the Carter bandsaw fence and resaw fence at the Woodworkers show. He hasn’t used it yet but will give his ewview when he does use it. His is magnetic as he is left handed.thats what he said anyway. Will let you know how it is when I use it.
