    Thanks to Sylvia for this pattern that she shared with me years ago, I have been able to make many gifts such as this one with just a few alterations.
    Thanks so much again, Sylvia.
    I finished this one for the salesman at my local Ford dealer who helped me get my new Fusion. At least I'll get some of my money back.

      Bubba, you are so right, that is a very nice pattern. Pretty cool you have been able to switch it up and keep on using it, it should server you well for years to come.

      Looks like the wood is Cherry? How thick is the wood? It also looks to me like you've not sanded it yet, I can kind of see horizontal lines that look like they need sanded off. Is there any finish on it yet?

        Yes, the wood is cherry, 3/4 inch thick. It has been sanded and sealed with spray polyurethane, mounted on an oak base.
