Wow! Very nice work Ian. How long have you been scrolling? I wish I had the patience to do a piece like this.

Thanks, Sherri. I did a little bit for the first time last winter (2005-6) but only really regularly for the last 4 or 5 months. The new big yella saw inspired me ..lol

That dragon isn't all that bad to do .. there's less than 100 cuts - though some are quite small - about 2 and a half hours work ..

Hey Ian, nice dragon, hope the Canadian Authorities don't deport you for using all their wood.

LOL .. no shortage of wood here Kevin - trees everywhere - makes you wonder why on earth wood is so expensive!

Thanks, Steve. No I don't think so - seems to look OK without it when it's on a stand ..

I love dragons, and that's a very nice one.

What about putting it in a nice frame of the same wood, with a bright red felt backer?

This one is just freestanding on a base, Unix. I was thinking of doing another at some point as a framed picture though - and red seems a suitable colour for dragons ..lol

Robert (Sawduster) sent me a pic of the Fowler's knight that I posted some time ago, but cut as a picture in a frame - it looked great. He got me thinking that a lot of supposedly freestanding cuttings would look equally good cut thinner, as framed pics.

                              Ian,

Beautiful cutting. Is this your pattern? If not, where can I purchase the pattern?

                              Thanks,

                              Tommy
