    i really like it ian, what's the thickness of the wood? i'm gonna try this one myself, i got a full 8'x4'x1/4'' sheet of ply given of my younger brother and i think it's about time i cut something instead of looking at it. lol

      That's 1/2inch oak Kevin but I'm sure the patterns would work with other things - especially framed - or on a backer of a contrasting wood.

      Must admit I like oak - it's (relatively) cheap as rough lumber and the grain comes up nicely with BLO or tung oil ...

          Ian you are making me very jealous with all these dragons. You've checked my profile...and yes I am the year of the rat but have always had a love of dragons. For Christmas one of the books that I got is the "Fantasy and legends" by Judy Peterson. I can't wait to start scrolling from that.
