Well, while this was being cut for someone at work, the daughters friend saw it and fell in love with it. Since its 1/4th baltic birch, luckily I was stacksawing. I used a FD-TC2 blade, and cut this 23 by 11 inch design on my 20 inch saw. With careful hole placement, and a few blade rethreads, it can be done.I didnt want to fuss with fuzzies. Its painted gloss black. There are 361 frets. My rewards..... Three big warm hugs, thank yous over and over, happy smiles, and the warm feeling of the joys of giving at Christmas time. Dale (Oh I was gonna post it here, but I am to stupid to know how to resize a photo, so youll have to see boots in the gallery. Maybe Carl can flip it into this thread so I can get your opinions on it.)

Those look great, Dale. It must have been interesting trying to figure out where to places the holes to manoevre that piece.

I always liked cowboy boots - and Stetsons - maybe I need to move to somewhere where I could wear them without getting weird looks ..lol

I drew up my pattern from a picture I got off the puter. Blew up the picture, then taped it to the window and traced all the lines. I made a pattern the almost old fashioned way. I am looking still, I know I saved a copy of it somewhere. I need to cut it again sometime when I get a chance, it was fun, yet a bit of a challenge with using flat blades on something that long. Thanks for the praise. Dale

Nice pattern. It is just another example to show that we are only limited by our imaginations when it comes to creating scrollsaw art.

I like that it was painted black, it is really stunning on a light wall.
