Here are my latest offerings.... I am taking a break from the ornaments now... I have a couple of other things to do before the holiday gets here and I think I have enough ornaments that everyone can have one.

In this batch there is 2 snowflakes, a gingerbreadman, and 2 more filigree angels. The 2nd of the angels is the one that I altered the pattern.

I thought you said you were a beginner? Those are too nice to come from a beginner? Great job.

Looks great! Your cutting has really improved since you first joined the site. Your lines are straight, cuts are clean and your curves are smooth. This is a great set of ornaments!

I have to agree, but I need to know:
                          Are you stack cutting yet?
                          Jim

Jim - I am stacking.... I have discovered if I cut the opposite way that is my 'comfort zone' I get better stacked cuts..... if I cut the way that feels more natural to me then I get a thinner cut on the bottom piece of wood.... so I am doing some awkward cutting but it is becoming easier for me.

All of the recent ornaments were stacked either two or three pieces of wood deep!

Thank you all for the wonderful comments.

Wow!!!! That is beautiful. Super job of sawing. If I worked it out correctly it took you less than a minute for each opening especially when I look at the amount of time it would take to saw the outline of the bear. Garry

Thanks guys, I have a lot of HDU left over from my sign business in various thicknesses.
HDU doesn't "fuse" or repair itself under heat or friction. Only acrylics and some PVC materials do that. Depending on what part of the world you are in, you would have to google HDU Distributors...

My kids always call me since I am the one who probably did the stuff they are calling about.

I know it's scary to get that call, but I'm glad to hear the charge exited where it did before it went any further.

Probably hurts like hell and he has a copper taste in his mouth...
