  • Baby Name Sign

I made this little sign for a friends new baby. I cut it out of 1/2" cedar then glued to the base made from the same cedar that I routered the edges. It is about 6" wide and 4" tall. I used tongue oil for the finish. Thanks for looking.

Yea, that turned out real nice. Your route work is real good. I've never used ceder before isn't that almost toxic to cut?

Where are from in Tennessee? I live in Summertown.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm not real sure about the toxic nature of the cedar but I always wear a face mask. I live over in Murfreesboro.

Very nicely done. Thanks for showing us. Cedar is one of those allergy kickers. Always wear a mask when cutting and sanding. Sawdust in the lungs can an will give you something very similar to black lung that the coal miners used to get.

Tony have fun, There is a great lightburn forum on face book also for Orture I would assume. What size did you get?

I am of the older crowd, LOL , I was blessed with a father, old world German tool maker and a Mom that turned into a techno junky. She got into computers in her mid 70's and digital embroidery, started digitized music that she played using computer software. she was a seamstress, by profession.
