  • Compound cut and turned light house 2

Scott had said something about he wanted to do one with different woods glued up. Well that tweaked my interest. I did screw up on the angle as I did not want the light wood to come up as far as it did. But I still like it. Mystery wood and Aspen.

I have had the parts kit for one for many years and never made one. Maybe it is time,

I like the angle of the wood. They now have kits that can be salt or pepper. It has ceramic instead of metal.

That is really cool. When Scott mentioned gluing up different woods, I was thinking about changing the base & top of the lighthouse, but I like your idea a lot more. Now what can be done with adding an actual light on the top!?!?!

That would be a piece of cake with the LED's that are available today. Thanks for another rabbit hole for me to go down LOL

Tango I still have your pattern waiting for me to do. The one with the egg shaped frame. No wood work today, switching hobbies , my new Carburetors came yesterday.

Like you my first thoughts were the top and bottom. Might still be interesting.

Scott, I am so sorry to ear that you and your wife have both had to fight through Covid. I hope this means that you are both on your way to healing, if a bit slowly....

A project finished Monday, July 4th. The pattern is by Judy & Dave Peterson and found in their book, Making Wooden Dinosaur Toys and Puzzles. I used 3/4" Poplar. It is approximately 5 1/2" x 11". Cut on the Pegas Scroll Saw using Pegas #3R MGT blades and Pegas #1 Spiral blades for...

I did touch therapy since it helps my sister in law so much. I saw it, I touched it and the money flew out of my bank courtesy of Drs. JC Penney and New Balance. Back to the saw tomorrow. I haven’t touched it in a week. And the beat goes on.
