  • 3D BELL in Olive Wood - very hard wood

I saw that Woodcraft had some olive wood blocks for pen turning so I decided to get a few and see what it would do for 3D ornaments.

WOW is that a hard wood, I was using a #7 double tooth and it barely moved in the blank. I went through 7 blades as they dulled very quickly with this 4" ornament but the grain pattern is great!

That is very cool! I love the pepper smell of olive wood when I use it on the lathe.
