  • Dogwood Box

A Dogwood Box pattern by Diana Thompson from one of her books. This one was cut at home on the EX21 using FD Polar #9 and #5 blades. Even though I sell Pegas, this was completed at home with the few FD blades I had leftover. The box is Walnut and the Dogwood flower is Hard Maple. The finish is one coat spray Shellac and two coats spray Clear Satin Lacquer.

That is one attractive creation Denny. It's always amazing how one pattern can take on so many different looks based on wood choices and the person crafting it. Just lovely.!

Great job, Denny. Not only is the contrast amazing, the 3-D really sets it off.

Thanks Rodney. The compound cutting of the petals was the fun part.

One of my favorite boxes to cut. I usually cut the flower out of box elder and walnut box.
