This is a pattern by Alex Fox and purchased from his Etsy store. It is made from 1/4" solid Cherry approximately 10" square and ends up 3 1/4" high. I used #65 drill bit and FD UR #1 blades. It is finished with two coats of spray Polyurethane Clear Satin. Comments welcome.

Thanks RJ. The difficulty was the glue up.

Very pretty choice of wood for this decorative piece. What type of glue did you use? Any recommendations for someone wanting to try one of these?

Really nice, and I agree that the glue up is the biggest challenge. Especially trying to keep things symmetrical.

Thanks Linda. I used Titebond 111. Alex Fox has several videos which are well worth viewing.

Thanks Rolf. Starting upside down and gluing top to bottom help keeps the gluing symmetrical.

Nice work! When I finish some of the projects that I have on my shovel, I might take this project on.

I've had a couple of those shovel ready projects here recently. Not nearly as much fun as making sawdust!

Thanks Alex. I enlarged the pattern to fit 10" square stock. Much easier to cut and fit.

I am sorry that I did not participate the last few years. I am like a little kid waiting for the mailman every day waiting to see what Santa sent me.
