  • Wonder Bowl

I finished the 'Wonder Bowl' by Dave Van Ess yesterday. I used 5/8" Western Red Cedar and FD Polar #3 blades. Yes, less sanding, but where the blade cuts through the section, it was hard to get a clean glue up. Possibly because of the soft wood. If I make another, I would use a harder wood. Comments welcome.

Very pretty bowl Denny. Love the grain on that. Thanks for sharing this with us.

That looks great. I really like that you are constantly trying and doing different projects.
I really like the grain variations in this bowl.

Take one of these down to your lock Guitar Center store and I'll bet they'll buy one to display guitar picks in it.

Great suggestion, Dave. There is a music store just up the block from our store.

Thanks Harry. This bowl was a little different than my normal bowls. Actually I used Western Red Cedar which is a softwood. Hope you can make some bowls soon.

She thinks she was able to cancel one of the subscriptions but since it hasn't arrived yet she wonders if she managed to cancel both orders. Is there a way for us to find out if the...

I would be curious also. Back in March of 2014 the switch on my Delta quit working. Now last weekend it quit working again. Don't know if it's the switch or not. And of course I had a request from a friend of my wifes to cut something for a little girl. We've been talking about maybe getting a new scroll...

When I got all of my dads woodworking books, wood reference books and pattern books this was in with every thing and yes there a quite a few patterns in the three ring binder.
