  • Band saw box

I have been making band saw boxes lately. Eastern red cedar mostly. Largest is 14" tall but most are six inches tall.

Jim, this is perhaps a silly question, but those are really bandsaw boxes, right? Not ones made on a scrollsaw? The dimensions suggest band saw to me.

Wow - nice work. That cedar really stands out for that.

These are very inspiring. I might have to give these a shot one of these days

Sadly, after I get what I want the rest will be next winters firewood for my son. I might even convince Bruce to take 2 logs to the sawmill he volunteers at and slice some. Hmmm.

Well, you read my mind! I’m going to make the happy birthday out of a piece of thin wood and paint it her favorite color using the sparkling green unicorn spit.
