My husband wanted to see if I could cut out a birdhouse with a band saw so I gave it a try. It was a little challenging due but I still managed to do it. I put one of my standard size birdhouse ornaments next to it to give it some scale.

Thanks! I believe it was 1/8 inch. It was a little tricky as you know because you can't take tight turns on those thins.Susan

A Carter "Stabilizer" will give support to the blade and allow some very tight turns with and 1/8th inch blade if you want to continue cutting birdhouses on a bandsaw.Comment

A fire sounds nice and cozy to me on a chilly night like tonight. I was watching the news and fell asleep. Sis stopped by today and had a half gallon of milk. We visited for awhile but her memory was not good today. She had a Dr apt and I had one this a.m. so I hope she is fine and I'm fine but they want to do some tests and the like and I'm supposed to have an ultra sound done as I had a valve replacement about 3 years ago. So happy I found a new hobby in wood working and turning and things of the like. Really gives me pleasure.. Guess I will go lie down for awhile and try to get some better sleep...
