Excellent work. Is that one of Sheila Landrys patterns? Thanks for sharing it with us.

DW, I think it is #18 from Roy Kings Elegant Art Basket Collection 2. I bought both sets of patterns from Scroller and have cut several of them as gifts.

Very good. I have been reluctant to try a basket but this looks really nice, and do-able.

Jim, if it is #18, it is about 7" x 10" and 6" tall.

Ron, they are quite doable but make sure you make the notches just wide and deep enough. They won't fit if they are too narrow and they will put unnecessary outward pressure on the legs if they are not deep enough. A blade width or two makes all the difference when cutting them. You have to gently test fit to since not all 1/4" wood is really 1/4" thick.

He puts biscuts between the long pieces, is that what you meant? He has stainless screws in the lips then puts the plugs on top of that. Scott, cutting one doesn’t take long. It’s the removing of the tiny drill hole, spraying each piece with distilled water, letting dry, sanding and sometimes flap...

Like Bob said clamp a straight edge to the table and adjust it to compensate for the blade drift. There are some blades that have no or very little drift. Like the Olson PGT series it also seems to me that the Pegas MGT 3 or larger cut very straight....

I now you do beautiful work but I have to say your attention to details on these baskets is impressive. soft smooth edges, no visible glue squeeze out. And of course the cutting boards are beautiful. I am guessing that Bruce cut a spline in the end of the board and then dowels. I have not seen that...
