I've have another project finished for Evelyn's office. She'll have business cards at this job. It's made from Zebra wood and finished with Shellac I used the pattern by Steve Good. I made a change to the pattern is cut. I used spray adhesive to glue the inner box pattern to the outer box pattern, it saves wood and it helps to get a good fit of the two halves. I have a request for a box like it from her boss. Any and all comments are welcome

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Evelyn is going to give this box to her boss. I'll make one for her from the lace wood she picked out at Woodcraft.
Hope you don't mind but "give this box to her box" was driving me to hysterics I had to change it for you...Last edited by wood-n-things; 03-20-2012, 11:06 AM.sigpic: Dan US Navy PR1 (Ret)

Bob Your sure right about that but it fun making them and most times the smile on the face of the person you give it to is worth so much. I say most of the time because I made some bowls, baskets and boxes for some of Evelyn's co workers I think it was for CNA/Med Tec week. Most of the people were thrilled to get one but a few were up set that thwy didn't get something more. I still had fun making them.sigpic: Dan US Navy PR1 (Ret)

Reply to Harbor Fraughtby RolfI did not read the fine print, actually not that fine. when I went to buy my new compressor for 25% off (not). That would have been nice, but I am still happy with my purchase. Although I have not used it yet as my garage is rather cold.

Reply to Harbor Fraughtby JimernSome manufacturers will restrict items for resale to a certain price or basement price. And in some cases will only sell with the agreement of no discounts allowed.
And then there is margin, the retailer needs to make a certain amount of money on all sales.-

by RolfHave you had big temperature swings in the shop? My first thought is something binding. I fix all of my own stuff and don't hesitate to take things apart to try and isolate where the issue is.
That said at only two years old I would contact Denny and see if he can direct you to a Pegas tech center....-

by NC ScrollerWelcome. Could be a number of things. I would call Denny at Art Crafters of Dayton or Ray at Seyco. Both numbers can be found on the internet.
