  • What I've been up to.

So this past few days I've been making a little sawdust.
I apologize for the pictures sort of fuzzy. I'll try to take some more tomorrow at the show, but right now I'm swamped getting ready.

So I made 12 of the magic belt hooks.
    Mahogany, Black walnut, Cherry, Butternut

34 of the Mini Bird houses.
25 of the mini short horned reindeer
12 of the fragile horned reindeer
2 each of the unique Jesus plaques (Thanks Steve Good) These were cut out of Mahogany.
6 each of the pet angels kitties and puppies. Thanks Diana T.
Not to mention several (4) local custom orders. 2 new displays and a couple (6) puzzles, I forgot to take pics of before I loaded them into the truck.

Like I said I'll try and get pics of the display tomorrow.

Mike, Looks good. Even though your magic belt hooks should work, If you cut them 3d they well look cooler, I think.Lance

At the time I thought "Ah, spit!" (or words like that) and just threw the blade in the garbage. It was the #5 size blade. I suspect it would cost more to have it done than the cost of a new blade. The owners manual is not very helpful, the wording is awkward, having been 'translated' into...

The brazing process doesn't look too bad. I have seen the welders built into the industrial bandsaws, so out of curiosity, I looked that up and that process is pretty cool to watch also, though trying that on something this small would probably light the whole thing up....

Jo, I did a bit of research on the web, and there are lots of videos of people silver soldering broken blades. In hindsight I remember I had made a jig eons ago to do just that, when I still had a small Craftsman bench top three wheeler....
