pencil cup

I wanted to share this as it my first project of this type , I made this for my wifes desk to hold pencils
I made it with no pattern using a scrollsaw ,spindle sander some clamps and glue its made out of poplar and finished in polyurethane
please excuse the pictures they are taken with my phone

REALLY nice! So did you glue up the boards first and then cut, or did you cut individual rings and glue them together later?

i do the same ones but with the leftover of the bracelets, when i cut them, i let a little room for the blank the i make another ring and glue them and finish them.

PatteM.....I cut two rings at a time not glued together ,I brad nailed them ..upon reflection I should have glued them it would have been a lot easier
