  • New Saw Broke

Hi my new Ryobi saw broke. The motor still runs but blade will not move seems like a part that the motor hooks to the arm broke or came off.
Looks like I will be taking it back to Home depot..

Steve, I ended up going to Sears and buying a craftman saw this one looks to be better built. It has a light and foot control and is 18 inch. It cost about $100.00 than the Ryobi saw.It also does not require any tools allen wrench to change blades.

Lou, I think you'll be happy with your Craftsman. I've got one model and like it.

Lou -- did you purchase the replacement warranty when you got your craftsman? I have worn out one a year and have gotten a new saw every year -- but my saws are worked heavy and I tend to knock them off tables and hit them with hammers... one more year to go on my warranty which means bout the time I wear out this last replacement I would have paid about $ 25 for each saw.
