    Metal to Metal Dewalt

I've had my Dewalt for 3 years and never heard metal to metal banging. If it is brand new, I would contact Dewalt or the place I purchased it if they are local.

    Good Luck......Scott

Joe, if you go through the Tools and Blades thread you will find a few topics on problems that folks were having with their Dewalts. I'd post a link but that is a notch above my skills.

    Hope that helps.

started a topic Dewalt Scroll Saw

    Dewalt Scroll Saw

My brand spankin new Dewalt scroll saw is making a
slapping metal to metal noise. It isn't loud and doesn't effect
the performance of the saw. I'm new to scrolling and the noise might be normal. Any one out there with a Dewalt
    having the same concern?

Secondly, there is a series of three letter engraved on one...

They look like David Spielmann's Designs to me. I will check my library this evening, but I bet you already that they are from one of his pattern books.

Thanks all - you folks do wonders for my ego with your comments and importantly fire me up to keep trying new things

Scott - once this Covid situation has passed I'll definitely be heading up to NC. I'm tentatively thinking late spring/early summer next year. I am not sure just what pointers...

I found this information on fuses in general.

Blowing type. Fast-blow fuses will blow as soon as the current reaches the fuse's amperage rating, while slow-blow fuses are designed to tolerate a large number of startup surges and modest short-term overloads without blowing.
