Where did you get the pattern for Daffy?
How long did it take you to do?
What wood did you use?
What blades?
What finish? (Did you use primer, latex, oil, spray, brush, roller or ...?)
Give us details man, please?
Regards,
Marcel

The pattern actually came from a coloring book online through a internet search , and then just got some regular 3/4 pine with some #9 ( I think lol ) precision ground blades , then just acrylic paint with a few layers of clear gloss on top . Time , probably only a few hours of actual work then drying time . it was actually easy , its just the more detailed work thats kicking me in the rear lol ,those will have to wait for a bit .the kids love this one and its going up on there wall (they wont let me put it anywhere else lol )

From coloring book to that! It looks great.
all thats fine and all, and I'm glad the kids really enjoy it and all, but thats supposed to be hanging on MY wall, nowhere else! You best go explain it to them now, before they get to attached. Dale
Ive got a smaller one that I made ,as soon as Im done painting it ill send it to ya lol . It definetly feels more like home each day I come here
I just started on the real duck this morning but didnt get much done with that one yet ,nope not donald lol not yet Im glad ya'll liked daffy , I guess I can kinda be my own worst critic lol just need to work on my picture taking skills now lol
Thank you ,
Charlie
PS Dale , my kids gave me a really upset look when I told them I was gonna send the big one to you lmao
We all are our own worst critics, it comes natural! Im glad it feels like home to you here. Its a great bunch isnt it? I find myself spending a lot of time in here when I would otherwise just be killing time looking at senseless stuff on here. I learn a lot, and meet a lot of great folks, and make quite a few great friends. I would love to have a daffy, Im sure the kids would understand!!!! Your great Charlie. As for the pictures....if thats all you have to improve on, I'd say your doing darn good! Dale
its definetly a great bunch here , you guys are wonderful people , always helping out the new people and supporting them and lots of encouragement. I know the feeling about being in here alot , Im learning new and different things every day with your guys help and support . Definetly good people and friends :-)
might just have to make another daffy for you lol dont think the kids will let me part with this one LOL
Thank you ,
Charlie

So sorry for your loss. 🙏🙏. Fox Chapel Publishing has a number of books written by Diana Thompson. In my opinion she was the queen of compound designer. Ironically she passed away a couple years ago.
