My saw is a DeWalt788 Measure twice; cut once; count fingers after cut

One thing that was mentioned is very important. Keep the switches clean. the dust will cause problems. One of the tips I saw and am using is to cover the swithes with a latex glove. Not only does it do the job, it also makes you smile when you look up. The fingers of the glove makes your Dewalt look like a rooster. Oh well, some might say that I'm two oars short of a rowboat....

        Thanks, all.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. You are right...one seldom regrets buying "right" the first time.

As for making sawdust, I have to get through a school science fair, a wedding shower and a wedding first, but I'm sure the yellow and black will look good on the stand in my workshop until I get to it.

And I hope the $50 off $300 tip from Amazon helps someone else here. I just didn't need the reciprocating saw, so I opted for the lower price.

I'll check back here often. Nice to make new friends.
