  • The Classical Wooden Knot Puzzle

This puzzle has been around for years. I wouldn't be surprised if the first one was made by Noah, though the rumors of a certain Nazarene carpenter making them are probably false. But - however old the puzzle may be, it's always new to someone. They're easy to make and fun to watch folks figure them out, even tose who have seen them before.

I sent my Christmas ornaments out this year as puzzles made from SpectraPly. All you have to do is add a hanger and they make nice ornaments.

Anyway - here are patterns for 3/8" knots, 1/2 inch knots, and 3/4" knots. Alright, I included the instructions for them, too.

    Enjoy --

Very nice Tony and great instructions. Surprisingly I haven't seen this puzzle before.

Does this make me younger than the image I see in the mirror?

I saw that somewhere as I have the pattern on my stack to do for spring shows. That stack keeps getting higher and higher.

Thanks guys, I have a lot of HDU left over from my sign business in various thicknesses.
HDU doesn't "fuse" or repair itself under heat or friction. Only acrylics and some PVC materials do that. Depending on what part of the world you are in, you would have to google HDU Distributors...

My kids always call me since I am the one who probably did the stuff they are calling about.

I know it's scary to get that call, but I'm glad to hear the charge exited where it did before it went any further.

Probably hurts like hell and he has a copper taste in his mouth...

Welcome to the forum from TN. As a Pegas Distributor, Pegas has the Super Skip blades which works perfectly with acrylics at a reduced speed.
