  • Hello from central NY

I started scrolling in the early 90's and then work and other activities got in the way. I am now retired and looking to jump back into the game because I have some pretty expensive hobbies. Thank you for the add!

Welcome to the group! based on your avatar I am assuming that one of the expensive hobbies is car related.
    I also have that hobby.

Welcome from central Indiana. My expensive hobby is turning hardwood into broken fretwork and sawdust. (Sometimes at the SAME time)

Let me welcome you as a fellow member in Central New York. Are you aware that there is a woodworking club here? It is the Woodworkers of Central New York. The club covers all forms of woodworking and for one low price - $25 per year - you can attend any and all events we hold. We hold many demos that are of interest to all members. For that price you also receive a link to a 30page (or more) monthly newsletter. Plus you can watch any of the videos produced since 2020 from the links in our member-only section. We have 4 different special interest groups including one for Scrolling! We now meet about 5 times per year. We were meeting more during the pandemic but have dropped back to Feb, April, June, Sept, & Oct. You can attend in-persons as well as Zoom sessions for many of our events. I would encourage you to check out our website - www.woodcny.org - as well as join the group using the links on the website. Our next session for scrolling is on February 15th and we are scheduled to talk about intarsia plus see the results of member's segmentation efforts based on the session in October 2022.
By the way ... we have members from nine other states and several of those folks routinely join us via Zoom for our sessions.
                  Check it out, everyone!
