Hello, I just joined this group and wanted to say hello. I have been ww for about one year and decided to try ss. I picked up a old Duro 12" saw dirt cheap. This will allow me to get started with this for a low cost and find out if I like it or not.

That said, it is a multispeed blower that obviously has a controller board. That board varies the power to the motor. By doing what you did you bypassed that. You put power across the low and high windings. If any thing connecting...-
