I live in the South East part of Norway, not far from the Swedish border.
Soon to retire from work, so I recon to increase woodwork activity in the future.
I'm mostly doing woodcarving and chip carving these days, but I started sawing with a fretsaw in the late -50s about 5 years old, making Christmas gifts to the family.
These days I use a scrollsaw 😀

Hi Jimp, glad to see you post. Did you do the carving in the tree-very nice. Are you glad for summer in Canada now? Floyd in Reno

Yes it will take plain end blades because what I did was cut off one end of blade and made it work. I did not know they made plain end blades. Thanks for the reply
do you have any suggestions on how to clean the table of the scroll saw?

Unfortunately, with pin-end blades, you need to drill a blade-entry hole large enough to accommodate the blade. Can you use plain-end blades in your saw? Unfortunately, pin-end blades limit the projects you can do because of the size of the blade-entry hole you need to drill for them.

by NC ScrollerJim that makes perfect sense. With the price of building materials, they are sky high in the US and still climbing, I could not see you wasting materials.
