  • G'day

Hi there. Very happy to have found your forum group. Looking forward to browsing your archives and sharing ideas. I'm relatively new to the scroll saw but i've jumped in with both feet and am really enjoying myself. Once i get a bit more familiar with the site i'll work out how to post up some pics.
Cheers, Kev from sunny Brisbane Australia.

Welcome A Board!! You will be hard pressed to find a friendlier or more knowledgeable group on the net re: woodworking. Share your knowledge and do not hesitate to ask questions. The only dumb question is the one that remains unasked.

You may find the stickies at the top of this forum to be very helpful. Use the Link below.

Take a few minutes to read through them. They are chock full of great information.

Be sure and share pics of your projects. We thrive on pictures. You will find we are not a judgmental group.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Mark, i've got 2 saws at the moment. A 16 inch Rexon that i've adapted to take FD pinless blades and a 24 inch Leda that takes the pinned variety. I started out cutting out words for the kids then tried a bit of intarsia but have now moved on to portraits. Very enjoyable but time consuming converting the photos so that they are suitable for scrolling. I use 6mm marine ply from Bunnings but the grain is a bit bland. On the lookout for a supplier of a ply with more "character".
        Cheers, Kev.
