Welcome to the forum! I have an EX 21 mounted on a stand, but, the stand is not bolted to the floor and it is a wood floor and I have no vibration except at very high speeds, but, I cut at about 3/4 speed anyway. So no need to bolt to floor, but, as Mike said you could place sand bags or sac crete on stand frame.

No you don't need to secure it to the floor. You may want to add a couple of sand bags to the bottom to keep it more stable.

Yep - I'm a newbie
I am brand new to scroll sawing. (Which translates into - I know nothing about it). Just got a new Delta 695 20" scroll saw and in the instructions it states to "secure stand to floor before use". Is that necessary? Not to excited about putting holes into my garage floor.
