Welcome to the forum. I am Tony,aka,Toneman from Paris, Texas. I have only been scrolling a few months, so, I cannot give expert advice on your saw purchase. I bought an Excalibur 21 from Ray at Seyco in Rockwall, Texas and so far am very well pleased wirh saw and service.

Hi Ken

Welcome to the group. As far as saws go it comes down to what features you prefer, and the amount you want to spend. I have a Dewalt 788 and have not had any problems yet, when the problems start I will probably go with an Excalibur Ex-21. Hegner, Hawk and Eclipse are also good saws but they can put a real hurting on your wallet.

Check out Craigslist in your area you might run across a good deal on a used one.

By any chance is your dancing saw a Craftsman?

Hi to you all,
i have been looking around your scroll saw magazine and i am really pleased with what i see, i am a retired woodworker and have used scroll saws along time ago iam getting back into the hobby and looking forward to buying a new machine the one i have at present would sooner go for a dance around my small workshop than cut a piece of timber. If any one would be pleased to drop me a line with a recomendation as to the brand name and model i would be pleased to receive it.
