Steven,
Sorry about your Mom. It's a nice thing you are doing for your Dad. This website has links to other sites that may be of help. Check out the "Other Great Sites" page under "Scrolling Community". I didn't see any in Michigan, but maybe you could log into the SAW website and check their club listing.
I'm in a club in PA and ours isn't listed in this site either, but we are registered with SAW. Worth a shot. Good luck!

Loging for My Dad
I do little scrolling myself but was looking to ask some questions for My Dad. I have also been working with my 9 year old daughter on scrolling so I may drop by now and again.
My dad is in his 70's and is an avid scrollsawer. He lives north of Muskegon Michigan and I was wondering if there were any groups that met in that area I could hook him up with? He is big into Habitat for hummanity and likes to work with his hands. Not to add a sad note but Mom passed away 2 years ago and it has been a bit rough for him to adjust to that void. He tries to keep busy but I would like to expand on his possibilities of interaction with others of like interests.
Anyhow. Good to see everyone and hope to interact with you in the future. Happy woodworking.

What grit do you use on the mac mop? Do you change grits for the final sanding? Do you mop sand with the bird attached?
Inquiring minds want to know.
