I've never joined one of these Forums before so bear with me and let me know when I need to slap my hand. I joined because of some of the ideas that have come out of this group. Right now I am working on a MLT-13 clock and haveing problems keeping it running. This is only my second clock so I'm still learning. I have fun making compound cuts and doing Scroll Saw Art. Hopefully I will be around here for a long time. Thanks for having me.

I moved your thread to a more appropriate forum to maximize traffic and get you more responses to your request/question.

Welcome A Board!! You will be hard pressed to find a friendlier or more knowledgeable group on the net re: woodworking. Share your knowledge and do not hesitate to ask questions. The only dumb question is the one that remains unasked.

You may find the stickies at the top of this forum to be very helpful. Use the Link below.

Message Board FAQ, Suggestions and Feedback - Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Message Board.

Take a few minutes to read through them. They are chock full of great information.

Be sure and share pics of your projects. We thrive on pictures. You will find we are not a judgmental group.

Whatever reason brought you to our forum we are pleased you found us.

Take some time to read the bylaws of the forum. We do not allow open/direct selling on the forum.

On red oak its a much darker grey black. To get the best out of ebonizing i.e. the blackest coloration the wood needs t o be...

Having just viewed my official invitation to receive my first Covid19 jab this coming week I had a little chuckle to myself over the name and logo the government has adopted for the folks who will administer the vaccinations.

Might be. I am going to be making a sign using oak plywood and I think I may want the background a tone other than the oak. May explore other veneers as well.
