Hello folks. A short time ago I bought a scroll saw mainly for a project I was doing. Oh darn I said, I have to shop for another tool. lol During this project I fell in love with this versatile tool and wanted to use it more and more. I purchased books and other material and became excited. But those intricate cuts and turns just blows me away. So I'm here to learn what I can. Thanks for being here.

Welcome, and thanks for joining the forum family. We learn things from each other all the time, and it's great to have as large a base as possible. The scroll saw sure is a versatile tool as you call it, and we would love to see some of your projects if you decide to post them.
Posting photos is not mandatory around here, but sure appreciated.

You're going to have a lot of fun with that saw. All those intricate cuts and shapes are just results of a bit of practice and not being afraid to turn wood into sawdust, and sometimes, into designer firewood. We've all done it and are having more fun than anyone should be allowed to have. Jump right in, spend some time in the older posts and don't forget to check in with photos and observations.

Thanks for the info Denny. When I cut acrylic I always use a skip tooth blade at a slower speed. I just did not realize that the epoxy would cut the same way as acrylic so I followed the materials list in the article.

OK folks, picture. I finally figured out how to upload a picture. Here is one each of my version of the oak and cherry boxes. Note the axle peg holding the top in place but allowing it to move.
