    Welcome to the forum Ted,

I don't know much about that model of saw in particular except that it's based on a Hegner saw which would indicate that it is probably pretty good, but that's just an assumption.

While some people are satisfied with their relatively cheap saws, I don't think you will find many who upgraded to a better one and regretted doing so. I would have to weigh in and say that with a good saw you will enjoy cutting more and that is the whole point of a hobby isn't it? I do want you to have fun so if possible, I would think it's best to wait and save.

Hi Ed and welcome to the forum! Did you try to take a look at ebay yet? Some people from UK here on the forum did that, with luck! So...good luck on the search for a saw!
