  • Greetings from Ohio!

Hello all ,just wanted to say what a wonderful site this is , it has already been most helpful.
I am fairly new to woodworking ,have been doing it for about a year now and have just recently discovered the joy of scrolling i bought a Delta scrollsaw (unsure of model number or size )for 50 dollars off of a gentleman who decided he couldnt have anything but the best and i am having a blast ,mostly cutting out name plaques for people .
again this is a great site that I am sure I will frequent a lot!

Don't worry about that Widget, some of the stuff posted on here looks the same way, especially mine. Who knows, by exhibiting, someone may help you do better.

Rodney, I will admit I'm in that group. The younger people are too busy with kids and getting a good foothold in careers to have time for hobbies. I know I didn't even start scrolling til my daughter went away to college. I've loved it ever since!

Hi Rodney! Nicely cut. I love the black backing especially.
Your explanation for the thin 1/4" wood makes total sense when it comes to framing. I did a detailed Iwo Jima on 1/4" as well as 1/8" thick, both framed. The feedback I got from a 60-90 year old group of guys was the...
