Hello all! I am a newbie to the site, but I have been scrolling for 14 years now. I live in Wichita Falls, TX and am a penturner that loves to use scroll cut coins as my medium through pen making. I am a member of the Pen Makers Guild (http://www.penmakersguild.com), I.A.P. (International Association of Penturners), and I hope to be able to become an active member on this site as well. Some of my work may be seen on my website at http://www.texomapens.com

I take it you sell these pens, and probably not cheaply. Correct?
They are very nice. I especially like the snakeskin and 30 Cal pens.
Welcome to our site, where people are very friendly and as helpful as possible.

Huge thanks!!
Wish i had these great forums when i began my adventures, you learn so much! To answer your question, Yes, I do sell these pens, but I have lost a large part of my pen sales to the economy crashing. When I created these Tru-Quarter™ blanks as I call them, I simply wanted to create a design for a pen that was personal to the buyer. Rather than wood, antler or plastics.
Below I've included pics of two Montana quarters that I am working on in the design of a "pen blank", they will then be rolled and cast in resin and the buyer will turn the resin down to the pen components diameters and assemble.
I hope these pics help in understanding how my scroll saw skills work! I should also note that I realize anyone can cut these coins, but they are a third the standard thickness of their original size. Therefore raising the difficulty of cutting, its almost like cutting aluminum foil, figuratively speaking.Attached Files- 2011-10-02 21.05.01-1.jpg (41.3 KB, 24 views)
