  • Two new moderators

    Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know we've named two new moderators

Marcel and Jediscroller have both agreed to help out. The two both have a lot of computer experience (and are on the forum almost as much as Carl H-R and I).

    Bob

Thanks Marcel and Jediscroller for helping out on the site! I know there is alot of 'little' things that need to be taken care of that 'we' regular type people know little about.

Just don't let it interrupt you scrolling time!!!!!!

              Evie,

I truly wish I could find a cure for Sharon.

I have a favorite aunt that has the same disease , she is in worse shape than Sharon, and I would love to end their pain.

I'm only human, but God will take care of them.

              Regards,
              Marcel

Don't worry Grizz, this gives me something to do while I'm at my regular job. Still plenty of time for making dusty holes in wood.

Excuse my ignorance but what exactly is the role of a Moderator.?
Peace keeper? Filter for inapropriate messages?

Yep, more or less. One thing we have to do in a forum such as this is do our best to keep spammers from infiltrating our ranks. One of the biggies (I think, and I'm sure our mentor Bob will correct me if I'm wrong here) though is to enforce the information in this thread.

You guys have a pretty good board here to work with. I'm still listed as an Administrator on a Chicago area fishing forum. We had 4 Administrators and 8 moderators to try to keep the BS off the site. There was constant spamming and fighting and I got fed up with it and quit going there. I still have full powers there (including the owner's credit card # to buy more bandwidth), and the owner still E-Mails me to help him, but enough is enough! I gave up fishing to spend more time woodworking and I'm glad I did!

There's a fine line between woodworking and insanity, I'm just not sure which side of the line I'm on!

Yesterday was amazing to see someone ring the bell after beating cancer. When we left we walked to our cars and had our arms around each others shoulders. I told her this was the best party I have ever been to. I found this message on my phone this morning “I am such a blessed woman. I was so excited....

I don't remember which one I used but I think it was somewhere around #12 which is .029 diameter. Anything between 12 and 19 will work you would just adjust your slot width. There is a pattern for bending it to shape do you have that?

Over the years I've found that cutting old wooden plates can be very rewarding. Most of them are very good wood and when you finish your cut out the plate already has a nice finish on it.. I normally buy mine at yard sales or Good Will whenever I can find them....

I've found in the past that you can find some very nice wood from old wooden plates. When you finish your cut out the wood already has a nice finish. I am only adding a picture of 6 but I have done many of these....
