Schiffer has several books on carving gunstocks in their catalog. You may be able to buy them through this site or contact Wisconsin Woodcarvers Supply in Racine WI.
I am just getting into gunstock carving. Does anyone know where I can find some good books for drawing elk and deer or books that have scroll paterns for gunstocks? Thanks!

I also enjoy making these. I have also used the profiles to turn some on the lathe. I mostly use a 220 Mac mop I have a 180 for the harder woods and then finish with the 220. I do all sanding before assembly.
