  • Man Cave gift

My oldest son is getting a surprise "man cave" from his wife. They have a nicely appointed basement in their newly purchased home. She has forbidden him to go down there for a while. He is thinking he's getting a pony but that is just his sense of humor. He is a life long fan of the Portland Trailblazers so that is the theme. Here is my contribution. I used 1/4" Baltic birch for the ball cutouts, 1/8" masonite for the lines on the ball so they are recessed and 1/8" BB for the logo cutouts. The backer is some 3/16" underlayment ply cuz it's cheep and light weight. (that stuff makes real good ornaments)
I took some photos during the process if you want to see em. It's about 19" diameter.
    Merry Christmas.

Thank you all, (not yall), for the encouraging comments. It has been a while since I have felt desire to create saw dust.
