  • St Louis Woodworkers Guild Toy Donations

Since 1994 the Guild has been donating toys to children's hospitals in the St Louis area. This year we donated more than 5,000 toys to five different hospitals in the area (2 more than last year) and more than 250 to Toys for Tots. Over the years we have donated more than 52,000 toys local children. I'm proud to be part of this great, growing organization and look forward to next year.

Excellent!!! I'm sure your efforts will be appreciated.

How many in your group participated this year for the 5,250 items?

    Congratulations on your efforts!!!!!!!

We have donations from about 11% of the membership (250 total). Going to do some new programs next year to try to increase the participation.

That is one where you tell Kevin we really don't need to know until at least 6 months after it happened. There are lots of crazy people out there....

I really don't know what to say about that--other than I think I tried to treat "that" guy for chest pains 35 years ago in a mobile home (trailer).
Glad Kevin got out with nothing more than a great story for the guys back at the water cooler.

Last week, a lady who had picked one of my cards at the downtown show, called and asked if she could come out and look at my bowls. She came an hour later, walked up to my latest bowl and asked the price. I told her and she whipped a check on me. About the third...

When I figured out what you were doing, I figured you would have to remove a ton of wood to get the movement to sit correctly. Really like the numbers. Any guess on weight?
