Those were the days, Dick! We had so much fun at Saratoga Springs, and will always remember the get-together at McDonald's with you, Debbie McGowan, and the rest of the gang. Your warmth and support made me feel part of one big scrolling family!

    It took courage to "upscale"...

Carole, it certainly was great to read about your expansion of shared woodworking knowledge in other publications. I will always remember our conversations at dinner in Saratoga Springs concerning the frustrations of working in the condo workshop and your being unsure of taking a big step with Joe...

Thanks, Gloria. Glad to see you posting again. I remember all the lovely work you did when I was still new to the scroll saw. It certainly helped raise my expectations for what women can accomplish as woodworkers.

Also, since the scroll saw is usable across the full age spectrum, it's a wonderful way to fill time during retirement. CNC can never replace...

Congrats on the new position. I had almost forgotten the whole story of the "workshop".
You are a great and patient teacher, so maybe we will win a few converts from the "other side" of woodworking.

Yikes! That's some story, Carole. Pretty sad, really. Glad you were able to overcome and do what you do. I have both your bowl and box book. So much of your creativity, talent and skill is on display for all to see in those books. Those meatheads at the condo workshop have no idea what they m...

Thanks, Trackman. I’m glad you enjoy your final results. The nice thing about the revision was that it was time-consuming, but manageable, and I’m really pleased how it came out.

Rolf, I could say that revenge is sweet, but those folks led such a miserable existence that you really...
