Lora Irish Celtic patterns

I see from a FC email that Lora Irish has now got a Celtic design book out. Has anyone seen it yet? Just curious about the content..

I have her Dragon and Green man books and love her artwork - just need to figure out how to produc some fretwork designs from some of her patterns ..lol

I also heard, that she has a book out on "tatoos" with Fox Chapel.

Sounds interesting. When I looked her up it seems they are all carving books. Haven't tried that yet but will keep it in mind.
She has a cd of all her works.

Most of Susan's patterns are line drawings that can be adapted for nearly anything...hence the tattoo book.

Susan wanted me to be the cover model for that book, but it didn't work out <GRIN>.

She's done two books of scroll saw patterns, and her great books (of Floral, fairy, and celtic designs) are simply patterns...Toni and Sue have adapted several of her designs for segmentation, or even fretwork.

I just ordered Susans Dragon book from the Attic Sale.
I can't wait. Her webpage is so full of designs, I am saving my pennies for the CD collection

Hi Guys!

BobD rattled my PM box and said to slip over here and post the previews to the new books. I had posted them with a thank you to Gretchen, Peg,
Troy, Alan and everyone else at Fox Chapel that worked on these two.

Gretchen used a wonderful new layout for the Celtic book. I had slammed her with way too much info and patterns. Yet, somehow, she managed to get everyone into the manuscript ... well over 100.

The new Tattoo book is a compilation of patterns and designs that have previously been published. It's in the new small pocket book format of 5" x 6". No info - no step by steps, just 500 pages of patterns, designs and drawings ready to throw on your scanner.

And here are the previews for the Great Book of Tattoo Designs ... This one will be great for the scroll saw community where you don't want or need a bunch of stuff about carving but want new designs and ideas for scroll.

Now, BobD had said he was going to be the cover model ... ????

Thanks for the preview, Susan. It's much appreciated - I just added it to the order I was putting in to FC ..

Diane - the two scrolling pattern books of Susan's (Lora's) that Bob referred to North American Wildlife Patterns for the Scroll Saw and World Wildlife patterns. I have both of them and would recommend either - especially the first one. The patterns are enjoyable to and generally easy to cut but still very effective. They lend themselves to quite a variety of uses.

.. and no I'm not getting commission from FC ...lol

Thanks Ian for the info. I think they were part of the attic sale and I didn't purchase because I didn't know about them. Maybe at the next sale.
