AH the hinges, when I did the test cut I happened to have a bunch of these piano hinges that I picked up at a yard sale. You can use any small hinges that will fit, like a pair of 3/4 long instead of the piano hinge. Personaly I like the look of the piano hinge. I found these sources.
Nelson Hobby - (503) 806-3785
You can do a Google search but the ones I used are just like the nelson hobby but they were already cut to size.
For anyone making the Piano make sure your saw table is square to the blade!! Do some test cuts on scrap before cutting the body, it will save you lots of sanding time in the end.Last edited by Rolf; 07-08-2012, 09:03 AM.Rolf

Got my copy yesterday too. Congrats to our members Rob (Arcy), and Kim (lkbraa) on your projects getting published. Rolf you did a sweeeeet job cutting the music box piano, thanks for the hinge link.
.......and thanks Fox Chapel Publishing folks for another fine magazine. I would also like to mention it sure was sweeeeet to go to my SSWC CD collection to download a project from issue # 8 yesterday. No folding of paper for the pattern to get it into my scanner.........just a few clicks, print and voila.....ah the marvels of digital. A huge thanks to Fox Chapel for getting those made. thank you 1.gifGloria ............... Two memorable things to say in life, "Hello" for the first time, and "Good-bye" for the last.

by NC ScrollerThis is my second version of this Judy Gale Roberts pattern. I used holy for the dove and walnut for the cross. The flower in the center is yellow heart and red heart. The flower is mounted on a western red cedar block surrounded by maple. Comments welcome.
