Too cute! And a good job you did, as well. I hate painting as well, but what did you use that came out so shiny? And did you spray it on to get it so even?

I have made a lot of whirligigs in the past and found that Lowe's sells a water base gloss enamel Valspar paint that works well.. (I used it for the yellow) and Patio Paint from Michael's for the white, and Pumpkin Orange from Apple barrel for the feet. Then a coat of Ultra Clear Valspar for the finish. (I did drill holes for the dowels , but as my garden is watered every day decided to just let the birds set on the patio).. Looking for more like this.
Bruce got a Kobalt one from Lowe’s when they stole ours from the backyard a few years ago. He said he uses the hold downs all the time to prevent kickback. He makes sure I use them the rare times I use the saw....
