Dear Editor,
I am a scrollsawer and woodcarver from Germany. I also am a subscriber of woodcarving illustrated and when I stay in the US or Canada,
I try to purchase the latest issue of scrollsawing. I ordered your back issues CDs for scrollsawing some months ago and here is my problem:![001[1]3424](https://forum.scrollsawer.com/core/smilies/0/0/1/8/8/4/images/smilies/001[1]3424.gif)
When I subscribe to one of your magazines it costs me double the price (shipping and so on). When I purchase CDs or back issues, it is quite the same. After I had paid the customs duty, the price for the CDs was even more than double of the original price. Some American magazines have turned to offering their issues as pdf-downloads or by platforms as Zinio etc. Wouldn't it be a good idea to do the same? I guess a lot of woodworkers here in Europe would appreciate that and subscribe the magazines for a fair price. I would like to add, that of course your magazine prize i s fair, but the cost of shipping and so on is a very high drawback for some of us. I'm going to retire in 2 years and I am planning to do lots of woodworking then, but on the other side I will have less money then and will have to calculate it very hard. It would be nice to hear from you and perhaps to hear (read) the opinions of other members.
