  • A really bas one! Groan Alert.

Back when RCA got into the recording business they wanted to make a record of the finest piece of music ever written. They did a lot a research and determined it was Beethoven's Choral, his 9th symphony in four movements.

They got the Boston symphony to record. Things were going well and they finished the first three movements before lunch.

After lunch, when it was time to start again, they found that the men in the choir were missing. A search found them in a local tavern nearby where they had drank their lunches. They were fetched back except for two who were unconscious. When they got back they all were pretty unsteady and kept knocking their music from there stands. Maintenance was called in to attach the music to the stands with some twine. Then they had to get going because:

It was the bottom of the ninth.
    With scores tied.
    Two outs
    And Bases loaded.

My Son-in-law said "Darnit, I cut this board twice, now. And it's still too short."

*drum rimshot* "Thanks folks, I'm here all week. Please tip your waitress. Good night"

When looking at the clock at work--the correct time is:
Too early to leave, too late to call in.
