  • "WOOD SIGNS"

I have always had a sign mounted to the outside of my work shop but I have never tried to become a business. I have sold a few items but most of what I make I give to family and friends. The first picture (the black sign) was hung outside my first shop. The address sign is mounted at the foot of my drive way where I live now and the big sign is mounted on the outer wall of my new shop. Since I made my address sign I've noticed you can see the sign very clear from quite a distence back down the main road and I have been very tempted to make one for each of my neighbors and give it to them.

Those are some very nice signs! Interesting fonts. What did you finish them with?

I have made a few signs, this was my first. Our Churches' pre school asked me to make one for them. (2015) It was free hand routed and a lot of fun to make. It has been hanging outside since then, I sanded the surface about a year ago and put on a fresh coat of spar varnish.
If I were to do it as a business I would consider a CNC router but for an occasional sign free handing is a lot of fun.

I have not made signs. Yours looks very well done.
