And best wishes for many, many more. But is there anything left for June to give you for a gift?👍 1 -
Doing some travel and missed this yesterday. Hope you had a great day and I feel there will be some type of mystery guessing game in the near future.Jim

Thank you all! I am going to get soppy for a moment, not easy for a cranky old German. June is my best gift of all! Besides the 29 years of joy, she has been my most ardent supporter, especially when it comes to my hobbies.
There is not much room in my workshop for new toys but she did give me this vise (with a bit of guidance from me)
It will be great as a third hand on the bench and also on my drill press.

Happy Belated Birthday Rolf! Hard to believe you and June are on 29 years when it's only your 25th birthday again. LOLTim

Belated Happy Birthday Rolf!
There comes a time in life when it would be nice to instead of adding a year on to your age on your birthday to be able to remove one.Speaking as one who has reached and passed that point let me tell you that this doesn't pan out! Best you celebrate the fact that you are still around and make the most of every minute of every day you are above ground.
I hope you had a great day and that June spoilt you rotten.
As for having a new 'vice' for your birthday I am sure that there is a double meaning there somewhere but for once I'll bite my tongue and stay silent! π
Cheers!!!Jim in Mexico

by RolfOur Judges are some of the best woodworkers I have ever met. On occasion I get asked to explain what I look for in the scrolling categories. I point out all of the nuances. I can't be a judge as I have intarsia and scroll work entries.

by RolfThere may have been some crud on the tips from manufacturing.
In the ~20 years of scrolling I never cleaned the ends of my blades until recently. Even with the Pegas clamps I was having some blade slippage, I now scuff the ends of my blades with some 220 grit paper End of problem.!...-

by NC ScrollerDonβt over sand them as you will shorten their usable life. Only sand as needed. Another thing to do is clear your blades before installing. Blades are coated with oil to prevent rust. Wipe the ends with alcohol or lightly sand with 320 grit.

by cwmageeThe fact that you only had approximately 6 hours on the saw tells me there was a thin oily film on the clamps from the manufacturing process.
If problem continues you may have spread the clamps in the process of tighten blades. A common problem with OEM parts. This issue will disappear by replacing...-
